Mathematics Department Mission Statement

The Sayville High School Math department provides a structured environment where students will continue to grow as competent users of mathematics and its real-world applications.

Our teachers look to both challenge and support students to become independent learners who realize many problems, even those not math related, can be solved with logical reasoning and perseverance. 

The Math department supports students through instructional design in the following areas:

• Being accurate, efficient, multifaceted problem solvers
