R.I.S.E. Tech Program - DESCRIPTION: Students will learn the engineering design process and learn how to develop a budget for an engineering project.  Areas of focus in RISE Tech include coding for educational game design & App. Development, as well as Arduino Programming and incorporation of Raspberry Pi.  Multiple coding languages are available for exploration.  Another focus area for RISE Tech Includes Computer Aided Drafting & 3D Printing with a focus area on Aeronautical engineering, UAV Drones, Prosthetic Engineering and Prototyping.  All students will be provided with the potential for entering their research project designs into science and engineering competitions.  There are many opportunities for students to develop prototypes, test and engineer/iterate their designs and work with mentors from Colleges, Universities and Brookhaven National Laboratory.  Throughout the year you will work on ideas that can be designed, engineered, and developed based on your research topic and creativity.  

Each quarter you will be responsible for attending group meetings, setting up individual meetings, completing your goals and completing assigned projects.  Please take the time outside of our meetings to jot down ideas, sketch solutions and constantly think about how to solve the Research Technology challenge you have chosen.
