To assist you with searching for information & statistics there are a few options;

The Virtual Reference Collection from BOCES (www.xaaa.calypso.scoolaid.net/bin/search) has useful databases such as Encyclopedia Britannica Online School Edition, SIRS Researcher(which has compiled articles from multiple sources on current controversial topics) and Facts.com Reference which can be searched for general information.  The VRC requires a username & password (sayvillehs, shs123) & can be accessed from any computer with internet access.

Two excellent sources of information from the federal government include data from the US Census & the CIA Factbook.
