### Algebra II

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your son/daughter to the 2019 -2020 school year at Sayville High School.  I look forward to working with you this year and helping your child develop a strong understanding of mathematics.  According to our records, your child is enrolled in Algebra II (Common Core).   This course is the third and final Regents course that is mandated by New York State. Students will enhance their skills from Algebra I and develop a deeper understanding of various topics. Instructional units will include, but are not limited to, linear, quadratic, exponential, and logarithmic functions, transformations, radicals, polynomials, rationals, sequences and series, probability and statistics This course will culminate with a Regents examination in June. A graphing calculator will be used extensively in this course.
