Punctuality is important.  When the bell rings, you are expected to be in your assigned seat and prepared to work.  If you are late, you must have a pass.

Be prepared.  A three ring binder with paper and dividers, pens, pencils, a highlighter, a daily planner if not utilizing your Chrome Book, required books and charged Chrome Book  must be brought to class each day.  If you are unprepared for class, you cannot successfully participate, and will lose participation points for that day.

Homework is due at the beginning of class.  Homework will be checked, collected or you will be given a quiz on the assignment.

Take pride in your work.  Any assignment that is to be handed in must be written in blue/black ink or typed and not have frayed edges.  Carelessly done assignments will be returned to you; this includes illegible work.

Participation:  Since the ultimate goal of class is communicating, sharing ideas and opinions, this grade is very important.  Ask questions and offer answers.  A positive attitude, and consideration and respect for others in the room are expected.

Writing assignments are due at the beginning of class.  Five points will be deducted if the assignment is handed in tenth period the day it is due and ten points each additional day.  As a departmental rule, the assignment will not be accepted the fourth day.

Grading: Each quarter's grade will be based on the following:  homework, quizzes, participation, tests, and writing assignments.
