WRITING LAB

Writing Lab meets one period every other day on an     A Day B Day schedule

 Writing Lab is student-centered:  a place for conversation and dialogue. I will work with students collaboratively through open communication to discover effective writing strategies and approaches to reading and writing that are particularly useful to the individual student. Students will become more aware and comfortable with the writing process as a whole (brainstorming, analysis, drafts, revisions….) and begin to develop the fundamental skills required to write for any discipline or self-expression. It is my hope that students will express concerns and doubts, take risks, draw on personal resources and knowledge, and make choices about their work, in turn, enhancing their self-worth and becoming confident writers.
