So, you've decided to take an A.P. course in American government! 

Whether you are just curious about how American politics and government work or are planning a career in politics and  government, it is my great hope that this course will not just inform you about political science but inspire you to be an active citizen in our precious democracy.

Attached on the side bar is the course syllabus.  The text for this course is The Challenge of Democracy  by Janda, Berry, and Goldman. The pace of the course is fast and the reading requirements demanding.  Although not a "current events" class, discussion of ongoing political events and debates will be included.
